Surprising Beauty Benefits of Cold Stone

Ice is something that is extremely familiar in our daily lives. We always use ice to quench our thirst or to cool down when we are hot. But surely few people know the interesting beauty effects of these cold ice cubes.

1. Skin care

Beauty experts suggest that we should wash our face in the morning with ice cubes stored in the refrigerator. These cold ice cubes will rejuvenate your skin, erase wrinkles, and make your cheeks rosy. It is not advisable to use cold water from the tap to make ice for washing your face. It would be much better if you use ice made from boiled water or mineral water without gas.



You can also mash different types of fruits or make fruit masks and mix them with shaved ice and apply on your face. Vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, aloe vera, lemon… can all be combined with ice to enhance the effectiveness of skin beauty. Using ice made from rice water or tea water also has great skin care benefits.

2. Tighten pores

Rubbing a clean ice cube on your skin daily will reduce the size of your pores. The cold ice causes the top layer of your skin to contract, helping to tighten your pores without the need for extensive care. This is also the method used by Korean beauty icon Lee Hyori

to tighten pores and prevent aging for the face.



Or you can combine it with lemon juice for face wash: Take a fresh lemon, a teaspoon of cold ice water, squeeze the lemon into a glass and add the ice water, massage for 1-3 minutes on a clean face. Then rinse with warm water. The natural acid in lemon, combined with the coldness of ice water, has the effect of tightening pores and reducing rough and itchy spots.

3. Reduce eye bags

Waking up with puffy eyes every morning is not unfamiliar to busy working women. The cause may be lack of sleep, staying up late, job stress, or simply insect bites, bacterial invasion, or other allergic causes… Using ice water to wash your eyes or applying cold ice on swollen eye area instantly reduces eye puffiness.



4. Reduce belly fat


Ice enhances the fat burning process and helps strengthen the connective tissues in the abdomen. To achieve that, use an ice bag to massage evenly on your belly. Perform it regularly for 5-10 minutes daily, and within 2 months, your “bread” waistline will be significantly improved. However, you should not massage with ice on your stomach immediately after eating or when it’s cold to avoid feeling unwell or stomachache!
